Business Alliance

A healthy and vibrant community is good for business, and it’s the business of The Don Bosco Centers to provide vital services and programs to improve Kansas City’s urban core. Join Don Bosco’s Business Alliance and help impact a wide range of issues that affect low-income families, including poverty, mental health, aging, education, and youth development. Event Sponsorship

The Don Bosco Centers have several events throughout the year with opportunities for sponsorship. The premiere events include the annual Gala (typically held each fall) and the Viviano Variety Benefit Show (benefiting Don Bosco in the November of even numbered years). Sponsorship levels vary. In addition, there are opportunities to sponsor specific programs. Examples include sponsoring the Youth Development Center's youth sports leagues in exchange for your business logo on the jerseys. Please contact us for more information on the varied opportunities available at this level.

NAP & YOP Credits

The Don Bosco Centers have a limited number of NAP and YOP credits available for companies and individuals who wish to make a donation and have tax liability in the State of Missouri. Through this program by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, you could receive tax credits for up to 50% of your donation. For more information, please contact us.

Matching Gifts

Does your company match employee gifts? If so, do those employees know it? Does Don Bosco need to register with your company to qualify for a matching gift? Please contact us with any requirements for participating in your giving program so that Don Bosco may partner with you and enhance your efforts to maximize and encourage employee giving.

Gala Auction Donations

Don Bosco's annual Gala event includes both silent and live auctions. A donation of a certificate, package or item from your company is a great way to demonstrate your generosity and receive a little publicity at the event. Examples of auction items include restaurant or retail gift certificates, trips, sporting or entertainment event tickets, product donations (i.e. electronics, gift baskets, etc.), service donations (i.e. photography photo session, tennis lessons, cooking classes, etc.), and more.

In-Kind Gifts

Does your business have a surplus of clothing or furniture? Perhaps your store has food pushing expiration (but not yet expired) that could be distributed. Would you be willing to conduct a clothing, school supply or food drive at your business? The Don Bosco Centers are always in need of and appreciate donations of the following items. Donations can be dropped off at the Family Support Center (520 Garfield Avenue, Kansas City, MO) Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. or you can request that your larger donation be picked up by calling 816-691-2952.
